Update: President Biden has postponed his trip to Colorado.

President Joe Biden will arrive in Colorado on Monday as part of his administration’s “Investing in America” tour, the White House confirmed Sunday.

Biden’s arrival in Colorado’s Third Congressional District — represented by Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert — marks his fifth visit to the state since taking office in 2020.

“During the visit, the President will highlight how Bidenomics and the Inflation Reduction Act are mobilizing companies to invest in clean energy industries and create good-paying jobs,” a White House official said in an emailed statement Sunday.

According to data from the White House, since Biden took office in 2021, companies have announced more than $5 billion in clean energy and manufacturing investments in Colorado, and outside groups estimate that the Inflation Reduction Act has created 3,500 jobs in the state since it was signed last year.

In August, around the one-year anniversary of the law, Boebert called the Inflation Reduction Act a “massive failure” and has worked to repeal it.

While the President’s itinerary has not been released yet, he is expected to arrive in Pueblo on Monday morning and tour Pueblo’s CS Wind factory later that day.

It will be Biden’s second trip to Colorado this year after he delivered the commencement address at Colorado Springs’ U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs in June.
