A George Washington High School student was injured in a stabbing on school property Friday afternoon, according to the Denver Police Department.

Denver police responded to reports of a stabbing at the school in the 600 block of South Monaco Parkway, where they found a student with injuries to their left arm and hand, according to a post on X at 3:39 p.m. The student’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The stabbing did not occur inside the school but on school grounds, according to Denver police. One person was arrested, but the department could not immediately confirm if the suspect was also a student.
